Why Choose a Consultant instead of a Coach?

I've worked with some amazing PTs and Coaches over the years. I think there's an absolute place for their systems and practices. I've used them in my own business when they made sense.

However, I think they don't answer a very important challenge. And that's the unpredictability of modern living.
If you want a rigid weight loss or muscle gaining plan, absolutely hop on a coaches 12, 24, 48 week system. Hit their calorie targets, workout programs and meal plans. You'll absolutely net results.
But if you want all of that, but have struggled because of life-challenges/work/children/a changeable schedule that doesn't fit into an impersonal 12 week plan...then you might need a consultant.
Over the last few weeks I've been working with people who have struggled for years because of their home and life challenges. Unknowns that crop up every week that have derailed them in the past.
For example, I've a client who themselves are a start-up consultant that flys to a different country every week.
That's a different sleep schedule every day/week, social and professional engagements, unpredictable hotel gyms, activity disruptions, inability to track biofeedback such as weight and calories....you name it. Each week is different.
They'd tried with a coach but couldn't keep up with their rigid plans.
They came to me, and in 5 weeks are further ahead towards their goals than they were in the 3 months they'd been tied into with the previous guy.
I've no doubt their old coach is great for a lot of people. But when it comes to a high amount of challenge and disruption, you need a different approach.
My client has made an incredible progress in a short amount of time. And that includes factoring in Christmas.
We've built fitness, lost some body fat, reframed our relationship with food, all without counting a single calorie.
Just weekly consulting calls. Realistic, flexible, target setting. Nutrition education. And mindset adjustments that allows them to give themselves grace where they weren't before.
If you've been beating your head against a wall with this stuff for years, give me a message.
This might be the perfect time to try something different.
Whether you're a jet setting consultant or stay at home parent, or somewhere in between.
